At Ghost Fox, we believe that showcasing your collectibles is just as important as the toys themselves. Here are some creative ideas to enhance your display shelves:

These ideas can help you create an engaging display that reflects your unique style and passion for Ghost Fox toys. Remember, the goal is to have fun while showcasing your collection!

Planning a Shelf That Lasts

Once you have a few arrangement ideas in mind, it helps to think about the practical side of a display. A shelf that looks great on day one can fade, gather dust or sag over time if the basics are overlooked. A little planning keeps your figures looking their best for years.

Mind the light

Direct sunlight is one of the biggest enemies of vinyl, resin and painted plastic. Ultraviolet light can yellow clear parts and fade bright paint, sometimes within a single summer. Place shelves on walls that don't catch strong afternoon sun, or use UV-filtering film on nearby windows. If you add lighting, warm or neutral LEDs are a good choice because they run cool and give off very little UV compared with older bulbs.

Check weight and depth

Larger figures and boxed sets can be surprisingly heavy, so mount wall shelves into studs or use anchors rated for the load. Shallow shelves of around 15 to 20 centimetres suit smaller figures and stop pieces from hiding behind one another. Deeper units work well if you stagger heights with risers, keeping the tallest pieces at the back.

Keep dust under control

Open shelves look inviting but collect dust quickly, especially in textured sculpts. A soft makeup brush or a small air blower cleans fine details without scratching paint. Enclosed glass cabinets cut cleaning time dramatically, and a few silica gel packets inside help in damp months.

Leave room to grow

Collections rarely stay the same size. Leave a little empty space on each shelf so new arrivals can slot in without a full rearrangement. Rotating pieces seasonally, swapping some into storage and bringing others forward, keeps a display feeling fresh and protects figures from long-term light exposure.

If you are building around a particular series, browse our collections for themes that group naturally, or read the studio notes for a look at how figures are designed and finished, which can inspire how you choose to show them off.
