How a Ghost Fox Collection Comes Together

Every series starts as a loose idea in the studio: a character, a mood, or a small story that feels worth telling across several figures rather than one. From there, we sketch a family of designs that share a visual language, such as a common palette, silhouette or finish, so the pieces look right displayed side by side while each still stands on its own.

Once the concepts settle, we move into sculpting and prototyping. This is where proportions get adjusted, details are simplified or sharpened, and we check how a figure feels in the hand. Small runs give us room to experiment with paint applications and colourways that would be hard to justify in mass production, which is a big part of why limited editions exist at all.

Tips for collecting limited runs

  • Decide what you love before a drop. Knowing whether you want a full set or a single favourite makes release day far less stressful.
  • Keep packaging if you can. Boxes, cards and inserts are part of a piece's story, and many collectors value them as much as the figure.
  • Display thoughtfully. Direct sunlight can fade paint and soften vinyl over time, so a shaded shelf or closed cabinet helps figures stay vivid.
  • Handle with clean, dry hands. Oils and dust build up on matte finishes more quickly than you might expect.

Following the story between series

Our collections often echo one another, with recurring characters, hidden nods and variations on earlier designs. If you enjoy spotting those connections, the Studio Notes share sketches and the thinking behind each run, while the Archive is the place to look back at past series. When you are ready to bring a piece home, our shipping page explains how orders are packed and sent so your figures arrive in the condition they left the studio.
