- Eco-Friendly Paints: Our paints are safe for children and environmentally friendly, allowing for vibrant colors without harmful chemicals.
- Natural Wood: We incorporate sustainably sourced wood in some of our figures, providing a unique texture and aesthetic.
- Fabric and Textiles: Soft materials are chosen for comfort and playability, ensuring a delightful experience for users.
Each material is selected with care to enhance the playful nature of our toys while maintaining safety standards. We believe that the right materials can inspire creativity and joy in playtime.
Caring for Each Material at Home
Knowing what a toy is made of helps you look after it, so it stays bright and sturdy through years of play or display. Each material responds a little differently to handling, light and cleaning, and a few simple habits go a long way.
Plastics
Hard plastic figures are the easiest to keep clean. A soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap removes most fingerprints and dust. Avoid solvents, alcohol wipes and very hot water, which can dull surfaces or soften thin parts. Long spells in direct sunlight can fade colours and make some plastics brittle, so display shelves away from a sunny window are a good idea for collectors.
Painted surfaces
Paint is usually the first thing to show wear, especially on raised details like noses, ears and edges. Wipe painted areas gently rather than scrubbing, and let them dry fully before putting figures back on a shelf or in a box. If you are storing pieces, wrapping them individually in acid-free tissue stops painted surfaces rubbing against each other.
Wood
Wood does not like soaking. Clean wooden figures with a barely damp cloth and dry them straight away. Keep them away from radiators and damp rooms, as big swings in temperature and humidity can cause small cracks or swelling over time. Natural variations in grain are part of the character of each piece rather than a flaw.
Fabric and textiles
Soft parts collect dust and handle marks faster than anything else. Spot-clean with a little mild soap and cool water, and check any care label before trying anything more. Air drying is gentler than heat, and a soft brush helps lift fibres that have flattened with cuddling.
If you have a figure from one of our limited collections and want to keep it in display condition, a closed cabinet and occasional light dusting are often all it needs. You can read more about how pieces come together in our Studio Notes.
