Welcome to Ghost Fox, a unique toy studio based in Portland. We invite you to visit us and explore our creative space, where we design figures and limited collections inspired by playfulness.

Our studio visit hours are as follows:

We encourage you to reach out before your visit to ensure we can accommodate you. Our studio is a place of creativity and inspiration, and we look forward to sharing it with you!

Planning Your Visit to the Studio

A small toy studio works differently from a shop, and a little planning makes a visit far more rewarding. On any given weekday the space might be busy with sketching, sculpting prototypes, painting test figures or packing orders, so what you see depends on where a project happens to be. Getting in touch ahead of time through our contact page lets us tell you what is likely to be on the workbench and whether a particular day suits a quieter look around or a chattier conversation about process.

What to expect

Visits are informal. You can expect to see work in progress alongside finished pieces, and to ask questions about how a figure moves from first drawing to a small limited run. Some items on display may be early samples or one-off tests that never go into production, so treat them as a window into the process rather than a catalogue. If you want to see finished work first, browse the toys and collections pages before you come.

A few practical tips

  • Arrive with time to spare. Studio days end in the late afternoon, so aim to arrive well before closing.
  • Plan your transport. Portland traffic and parking vary by neighbourhood and time of day; public transit or cycling are often simpler options worth checking before you set out.
  • Mind the materials. Paints, resins and small parts are often out on desks. Please ask before handling anything, and keep a close eye on young children.
  • Ask about photos. Unreleased designs may be on view, so check before taking pictures or sharing them online.
  • Bring your questions. Collectors, aspiring designers and curious families are all welcome; conversations about materials, sculpting or small-batch production are part of the fun.

Weekend closures give the studio time for focused making, so if weekdays are difficult for you, mention it when you get in touch and we will see what is possible. For more on how projects develop between visits, the studio notes follow work as it happens.
